The Minister

The Reverend Marcus Torchon is minister for Neston, Little Neston and Willaston Methodist Churches. He is married to Sylvia and together they have one son, Jean-De-Luc. He is passionate about the church’s prayer life and evangelism. He believes that evangelism begins and ends with prayer. As long as we start praying from the heart and doing evangelism on our feet as we go about our daily shores, the talk of church decline and church closure will be replaced by the message of church growth and church plant in the love of Christ.

He invites the church to pray for spiritual awakening and talk the message of revival; for in Christ, whatever is alive is constantly being revived.

Marcus is originally from Haiti, and following the January 2010 earthquake there, he was active in the relief efforts of the Methodist Church in the UK. The Wirral Circuit has supported the rebuilding of the Leveque Methodist School, which was destroyed by the earthquake, and is now supporting a sponsorship programme to enable children to attend this school.

Minster's Message - 8th April 2015

Dear friends,

Christian greetings to you and your loved ones. We are here for you at Neston Methodist Church. Our two worship services (Fridays 10.30am & Sunday 10.45am) and the various social activities held here at the Community Centre are part of our service to the community. We have just added a new worship service for under-5s, Church Mice, which we hold on Thursdays at 9.30am during school term.

We would like to serve you better and provide you with the kinds of worship that are more suitable to your circumstances. We would be grateful if you would answer the following questions:

  1. Describe the kinds of worship you would like to attend.
  2. How can we work together to make them happen in Christ’s name?
  3. What community needs would you like the church to address?
  4. How can we work together to meet those needs?
by emailing the Minister at minister@nestonmethodist.org.uk. Or by filling out our survey form.

If you prefer to discuss any of the above questions, please contact me at 0151 334 1772.

With much gratitude for your visiting our website,
